New Energy Solutions

The current pace and scale of innovation in the energy technology sector makes it clear we are in the midst of another industrial revolution. Driven by increasing demands to reduce emissions whilst maintaining high quality, available power at affordable rates leads many organisations to actively investigate the potential benefits of implementing new energy technologies. But are there proven technologies already available with established operating track records that could provide equivalent benefits for less cost & risk ? Developing the data to evaluate the options for a business and support confident investment decisions linked to new energy technology requires specialist expertise and know how.

SymTotal has access to decades of experience in the design and installation of sophisticated, commercially proven energy technology that result in significant improvements in performance and efficiency, plus substantial reductions in capital and operating costs. Our expertise also extends to the analysis and auditing of energy generation, storage, distribution and control systems in large commercial and industrial buildings. Additionally, SymTotal is actively involved in several innovative energy technologies covering renewables and Hydrogen. This breadth of capabilities allows us to offer a range of services relating to new energy technologies from rapid estimates of return & risk valuations for implementing sophisticated, commercially proven energy technology systems, to technical screening of new, emerging and un-proven energy technologies, to design, construction and operation of energy technology test & pilot plants.

Case Studies

Green H2 Energy Prototype

Prototype simulating all aspects of a commercial building powered by green H2. Stage 1 utilizes commercially proven technologies, whilst Stage 2 allows for “plug & play” of novel technologies to benchmark performance.

Thermal Storage in HVAC

Designed and implemented a Thermal Storage system based HVAC system in a large 5-star Hotel. The Thermal Storage was used to reduce the initial CAPEX and facilitated use of night time tariff for cost savings.

Desuperheater as Heat Source

Replaced individual hot water geysers in a large Hospital with a centralized hot water system. The old HVAC chillers were replaced with screw chillers having a desuperheater, which generated hot water for domestic use.

Solar Pumps for Irrigation

Designed and implemented a solar based pumping system for lifting water from a river 1500m below the village. The pumped water was stored in a tank, which was then fed by gravity to drip irrigation network of the tribal village.

Micro-Turbines for Hydro Power

Overhead tanks on buildings for Domestic/ Irrigation purposes, Back water of Dams, Waterfalls have immense Potential energy. We can convert this to kinetic energy from which Electricity can be generated. This electricity can be used directly or stored in batteries.
